    Make your resume more expensive

    Get your resume right

Keep your resume simple, short, and to the point. Your document should be easy to read and properly constructed. Resume, like all business documents, should not contain complex sentences and deuteronomous clauses. Construct simple and accessible sentences. Familiarize yourself with simple resume examples.

You do not need to throw in the text specific terms and certain wording relevant to the position for which you are applying. You can demonstrate your knowledge of the field at the interview. Complicated wording will only overload the document.

Mistakes in your resume are an unacceptable mistake, so look over what you have written several times or use the F7 button of the Word editor.

Use only white paper in a classic resume. It is better to use thick sheets. Resumes printed on a laser printer look good. Stained ink can make your resume look unrepresentative. Your document may have to be photocopied, faxed or filed. In all cases, you want it to retain its dignified appearance.

    Combine many jobs into one

It is considered normal if a person works in a company for 2-3 years. If he changes jobs more often, he may be called a job hopper. Recruiters do not like such people, because about 70% of customers refuse to consider such candidates. And it is quite natural.

A person after a year of work just starts to be of use to the company.

Of course, everyone has the right to make mistakes, and a good resume can have a couple of places where the candidate has worked for 1-1.5 years. But if that’s what the entire resume looks like, its value is very low.

However, it is often the case that a person has changed several job positions in the same company or moved from company to company within a holding structure. Or was engaged in project work, in which he changed several employers.

In such cases, it is recommended that this be formalized as one place of work, with one name and common dates of work. And within this block you can unobtrusively show the change of positions, but so that visually on a cursory inspection of the resume there is no sense of frequent changes of jobs.

Make sure your resume is the ideal length

The ideal resume length is strictly two pages. One is too short, only for students, and three is too long.

If with one page everything is clear – such a resume looks like a resume of a novice specialist – then with three, four, and so on pages all is not so obvious. And the answer is simple: the recruiter will only look at two pages 80% of the time. And will only read what you put on those two pages. So whatever you write on the third and subsequent pages will go unheeded. And if you write valuable information about yourself there, the recruiter won’t know about it.
