Funding
your IT Training
So you need
money to begin and/or continue your training in the IT industry?
If youre
an overseas student then the possibilities of training in
the UK are such that learning is expensive and available
grants or any form of training subsidy entails an expenditure
in time and effort finding out where to get training monies.
Private
training providers, i.e. training companies, are now looking
at facilitating the overseas student and, of course, the
UK student in their efforts to gain funding for IT courses
that lead to qualifications from NVQ2 level, IT Modern Apprentiships,
National Trainingships, A+ to MCSE, CISCO etc. on into more
powerful systems such as UNIX plus essential courses in
Office and Web Design/e-Commerce leading to e-Business.
Funding Agencies
are very much aware of the importance of having a strong
workforce in IT because without everyone becoming involved
on some level quality-of-life advantages evolving from the
Web remain available to the usual historical few and the
rest of us will be obliged to run even faster to keep up.
Not that Im against running, however, I run for fun.
IT is creative,
challenging and fast. The stimulation derived from thinking
and completing tasks quickly and well produces adrenalin
that feeds creativity and produces a full range of results
that are assimilated into the world culture. To have an
e-business world it is imperative that all, and I mean all,
peoples have the right and the opportunity to participate.
So what can we
do as training providers to help you? Well, with the web
research facility, talking to the right people, having the
right attitude i.e. not raising fees just because were
able to get subsidized funding, keeping fees within the
pocket-range of the student, maintaining our own personal
training needs were able to better meet student-lead
demands.
Lets look
at the challenge of IT for a moment, although Im probably
talking to the converted. I feel it is everyones responsibility
to themselves to fulfill their potential and then reach
for more. Having said that what is ITs responsibility
to us? In a rapidly changing world where computers are increasingly
becoming de rigueur the user, thats you
and me, can begin to make demands on manufacturers of hardware/software
and not remain passive recipients of computer IT technology.
That means that the technicalities of computers systems
must become easier to use and understand, as they increasingly
are, and programming languages which are still the domain
of the logical mind.can work alongside and with lateral
AI programming such as soundimaging constructions.
Now you may be
asking yourself, what does all this have to do with getting
monies for training. Well, the easier it is to design, implement
and produce results with IT the easier it will be to achieve
training funds as money follows resources. IT is a resource
that is at the moment an unlimited field for research. The
web is a virtual space in which to grow and develop mental
and community skills. As the web becomes faster and grows
into an AI Database with multi-level dimensions in participation
the real challenge for individuals and as a world community
will become more
apparent.
What were
talking about for the moment is attitudes to money in general.
There is money available for student training - just sitting
there waiting to be claimed. Training companies can help
students claim their money rights. Easy isnt? Its
a process much like the web is a process for creating interesting
and useful data. Creating money for student training in
IT becomes synonymous with creating a web page: what colour
shall I use for the background, subject matter, products
designs etc. Money for training follows a similar route
except the concepts change: which company do you train with,
course title, is there student follow-up, is help offered
to gain employment and so on.
Now back or in
this case forward to the benefits gained by a world where
everyone is up to a minimum speed regarding web work and
play. Theyre fantastic.
