I
got hooked; I just love science. I am now a second-year
PhD student at the University of Leicester, working
in the Radio and Space Plasma Physics Group. During
a degree in science you are constantly challenged.
The confidence and experience that I gained in
assessing a problem, devising how to solve it
using the information available, and finally obtaining
a solution, has been the most important merit
of my physics degree.

The
University of Leicester helped me from the beginning
to build a good foundation for Engineering. My development
has been aided by the hands-on approach and the
help provided by the experienced technical staff.
My stay in Leicester has been a valuable contribution
to my future career.

From
the start I found the Chemistry side of my university
career challenging. My final-year project supervisors
enthusiasm for the subject soon helped me to discover
I had a real passion for research. I have been at
Leicester for four years now and am still enjoying
every minute of it.

Being
a computer scientist gave me a great advantage,
because not only could I get a job as a programmer,
but also as a web developer, which is what I wanted.
Having so many skills in programming and software
engineering gave me that extra edge.

Graduate, B.Sc. in Computer Science |
