The University of León was founded in 1979, with its Veterinary and Education Faculties dating back to 1850.

The University of León offers academic programs in both undergraduate and graduate levels in 13 Faculties or schools grouped into 4 categories:
  • Law and Social Sciences: Business Studies and Finance, Law, Education, Labour Studies, Social Work Studies and Physical Education and Sport
  • Health and Experimental Sciences: Veterinary, Biology and Nursing
  • Humanities: Philosophy and Letters.
  • Technical Sciences: Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Informatics, and Mining Engineering

We also offer a variety of Spanish Language Courses for foreign Students:

  • Regular Courses (October - June)
  • Summer Courses (July & August)
  • Course for Teachers of Spanish
    (July & August)
  • DELE Examination Preparation Courses.
