THE
STRATHCLYDE MBA
The
MBA is one degree with different modes of study
each designed to suit your individual circumstances
and personal learning preferences.
Full
time (UK) - 12 months: Studying full-time allows
you to focus on the course without trying to juggle
study and work.
Part
time (evening classes in Glasgow) - 30 -36 months.
If you value regular contact with tutors and course
colleagues, as well as the enriching experience
of applying new concepts to your work, then the
part-time route is the ideal choice for you.
Flexible Learning - 24 - 60 months: A programme
that allows you to vary the pace and place of
study while attending optional 'taught' sessions
Part
time via International centres - a 2-year programme
run in collaboration with a local partner. The
MBA is available for study in Greece, Switzerland,

The
Diploma in Business - (9 months full time; 18
months part-time/flexible learning) - a valuable
qualification in its own right and is open to
applicants not holding standard MBA entry qualifications,
but who clearly have MBA potential.
MBA with a specialism in leadership studies -
3 years. Offered in partnership with the Leadership
Trust Foundation

The
MBA Programme
The programme comprises 180 credits over five
modules. It is based on collaborative learning
where work experience, knowledge, understanding
and applicable skills are shared, worked with
reflected on. The programme has been designed
for ambitious, talented and well-qualified individuals
with solid business experience. It comprises compulsory
modules supported by a selection of optional in-depth
functions - allowing students to tailor their
MBA to suit their career aspirations. Students
spend time working on and building a corporate
strategy. Strategic analysis and strategic thinking
are central to the programme and run throughout
the modules.
The programme seeks to help students develop ways
of grappling with opportunities and problems in
the practice of management by developing as reflective,
open-thinking, adaptive learners. The team-working
approach fostered at Strathclyde means uniting
an extraordinary range of people from different
countries, backgrounds and cultures and managing
that is a challenging task for each participant.
Flexibility
The Strathclyde MBA offers you the opportunity
to learn by a variety of routes and also to transfer
between them to enable you to complete the course
despite major changes in life and career. The
programme attracts a wide range of expertise,

industrial and commercial links are maintained
by the School to ensure that the Strathclyde MBA

The
Faculty
USGSB
is an integral part of the wider Strathclyde Business
School and the 200+ academic faculty is one of
the largest in Europe. The 14 subject departments
and specialist units collaborate to provide a
dynamic, fully rounded and varied programme of
specialist and cross-disciplinary postgraduate
courses. The Strathclyde Business School faculty
is one of five faculties forming the University
of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. The faculty
at Strathclyde teach, collaborate and present
research papers globally.
The
2001 Research Assessment Exercise shows that throughout
the university more than 90% of academic staff
submitted for assessment are considered to be
carrying out research of national or international
excellence. SBS continues to demonstrate excellence
in research and in teaching - SBS holds the highest
possible award of 'Excellent' from the UK government's
Teaching Quality Assessment.
