St. George’s University is a dynamic centre of higher education with a global network of academic, medical and scientific collaborators in education, medicine, research and science. Nearly 6,000 students from over 140 countries attend SGU and are taught by almost 1,700 faculty members recruited from across the world. Academic Accolades
The University is acknowledged as the best private school in the Caribbean region and its approvals and accreditations rival those of the best institutions in the world. Most recently, the US Council on Education for Public Health, accredited St. George’s Public Health programme – it is one of only five non-US institutions to receive this coveted approval. The MD programme has been accredited or approved by many external bodies – perhaps more than any programme in medicine in the world. It is one of two private medical schools in the Caribbean to be accredited by CAAM-HP, the regional accreditation authority.

Stunning Campus
The University’s $250+ million (USD) state-of-the-art campus is located in Grenada, West Indies and has been described as one of most beautiful academic environments anywhere. Scores of academic, residential, student life, and support buildings are among 70 plus buildings spread across the stunning, multilevel campus, including restaurants, a Small Animal Hospital and animal farm, and the Windward Islands Research and Education Foundation Research Institute.

Successful Alumni
St. George’s MD graduates practise in 45 countries, including the UK and former Commonwealth countries. The University’s DVM graduates have demonstrated impressive pass rates on the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Statutory Licensing Examination, making up 50% of those who were foreign-trained and passed over the last three years.

Degree Programmes
This University provides many degree options to international students, including four- to seven-year programmes in medicine and veterinary medicine, master’s levels degrees in public health, business, and research and sciences, and bachelor’s degrees in the life sciences, business, management information systems, information technology, medical sciences, psychology and liberal studies. Joint degrees in public health, science, and business are available to MD and DVM candidates.

International Affiliations
St. George’s medical and veterinary medical students begin basic sciences study in Grenada and complete clinical training at the University’s affiliated hospitals, clinical centres and schools in the US, UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia. Public health practica are offered in North America, South America, Asia, Europe and Africa and medical students may choose selectives in Kenya, Prague, Sweden, Thailand, or Honduras.
