Radboud University Nijmegen - Nijmegen School of Management

Master programmes
The Nijmegen School of Management (NSM), a faculty of the Radboud University Nijmegen, offers several English-taught Master of Science programmes. These programmes are:

  • Business Administration
  • Economics
  • European Spatial and Environmental Planning
  • Human Geography
  • Political Science
  • Public Administration (starting September 2012)

Next to these programmes there are three joint Master programmes. In these programmes several European universities cooperate:

  • Erasmus Mundus European Master in system Dynamics
  • Erasmus Mundus Planet EUROPE: European spatial planning, environmental policies and regional development
  • International Master on Public Administration and the Coordination of Transition

Business Administration
The Master programme in Business Administration has a unique focus on social processes in organisations. It aims at developing you to cope with all situations that may arise in one of the six specialisations of your choice:

  • Business Analysis and Modelling
  • International Management
  • Marketing
  • Organisational Design and Development
  • Strategic Human Resource Management
  • Strategy

Economics
The Master programme in Economics exposes you to the most recent academic and practical developments due to its excellent research reputation. You will acquire in-depth knowledge participating in one of the four specialisations:

  • Accounting & Control
  • Financial Economics
  • International Economics
  • International Economics and Business

European Spatial and Environmental Planning
The Master programme in European Spatial and Environmental Planning focuses on the increasing supra-national cooperation in Europe and on European Union policies. The impact of those policies is studied. You will learn to think critically about new developments in a unique Master-level programme.

Human Geography
The Master programme in Human Geography focuses on spatial behaviour of people, firms and organisations. It provides insights in the way human activities interact with their spatial environment. The programme offers five specialisations:

  • Conflicts, Territories and Identities
  • Economic Geography
  • Europe: Governance, Borders and Identities
  • Globalisation, Migration and Development
  • Urban and Cultural Geography

Political Science
The Master programme in Political Science teaches you how power relations influence cooperation and how to analyse political behaviour and institutions, as these are influenced by the use of power. There are three specialisations:

  • Internal Relations
  • Comparative and European Politics
  • Political Theory: Recognition, Justice and Power

Public Administration (starting September 2012)
The Master programme in Public Administration focuses on contemporary public administrative issues, using insights from management, ethics and policy evaluation. Subjects like comparative public administration, social risk and multi-level governance are covered.

Erasmus Mundus European Master in System Dynamics
The two-year European Master in System Dynamics is a joint Master programme of University of Bergen, New University of Lisbon, University of Palermo and Radboud University Nijmegen. The programme is designed for students interested in initiating strategic change in organisations using computer models. The programme’s quality is assured by the Erasmus Mundus quality label.

Erasmus Mundus Planet EUROPE: European spatial planning, environmental policies and regional development
The two-year Master programme Planet EUROPE is a joint Master programme of Blekinge Institute of Technology, Cardiff University and Radboud University Nijmegen. The programme prepares you for a career in strategic spatial planning in Europe. The programme’s quality is assured by the Erasmus Mundus quality label.

IMPACT: International Master on Public Administration and the Coordination of Transition
The two-year IMPACT Master programme is a joint Master programme of Corvinus University Budapest, University of Ljubljana and Radboud University Nijmegen. The programme focuses on key issues of today’s administration using multiple perspectives.

Radboud University Nijmegen
The Radboud University was established in 1923 and enrols over 19,000 students annually, of which 10% comes from abroad. The university is located on a green campus where well-equipped study facilities and a modern sports centre can be found.
Nijmegen School of Management is a knowledge centre in several fields of administration, such as companies and governments. It is a desirable destination for international students, since over 200 courses are English-taught and classes are small-sized.

Nijmegen
Nijmegen has about 170,000 inhabitants, of which 25% is of international descent. It is a clean, safe and friendly place with rich social and cultural life. Loads of attractive shops, outdoor cafes and restaurants, lively traditions like Street Theatre and International Four Days Marches give Nijmegen a great atmosphere.
