1.A.Course objectives and career prospects
This course is designed for French and foreign university
students who wish to obtain academic recognition in
France while studying abroad.
Students also acquire a sound knowledge of international
trade so that they may become immediately operational
in the workplace.
1.B.Qualifications for entry
Students must have spent at least 2 years at university
level and are admitted following the study of application
forms by an admissions jury.
1.C.Curriculum
Students from a French university
either spend one year in a foreign university
or they spend one semester at the IAE followed
by a semester in a foreign university and compulsory
work placement
2/ Foreign students attending the course in Montpellier:
either spend one semester at the IAE ending
with the transcripts of grades
or one semester at the IAE followed by a semester
in a European university and a
work placement
or two semesters at the IAE
Diploma-seeking students may choose between :
completing a work placement in industry
or the writing and defending of a dissertation
under the responsibility of a tutor.
Should students want to stay on during the Spring semester,
they will then have developed sufficient
competency in French to be able to follow classes with
French students and take the Diploma in International
Business.
Alternatively, the 2nd semester can be spent in
one of our partner universities spread out in European
countries (fees during the 2nd semester abroad depend
on the host university selected).

1.D.Diploma
The European Transfer Credit System (ECTS) represents
the workload of an academic semester (30 credits) or
year (60 credits). It is the equivalent of a 15-credit
semester in American universities.
The diploma is awarded to students who have followed
on-course assessment and at the end obtained an average
passing grade of 10/20 on the examinations.

VI - INDEPENDENT STUDY.
I.A.E. of MONTPELLIER: A double competence in Science
and Business Management
The I.A.E. Graduate School of Management was founded
in 1956. The purpose of the school is to offer additional
high level training in the field of Management Sciences
to students holding scientific or engineering university
diplomas.
Attached to an internationally oriented university
of sciences, the I.A.E. has developed partnerships
in order to further the dimension of the different
courses and help students in their research of a job.
There are frequent contacts with the business world
on the occasion of meetings and seminars.
Agreements have been signed with more than 50 foreign
universities in Europe, America, Australia and Asia.
